I was stuck in a labour camp with thousands of others, grinding through each day, just trying to hold on.
Nights were the hardest.
Lying awake, staring into the dark, drowning in frustration.
Every breath felt heavy, like I was trapped in a prison with no end in sight.
I experienced a lot of hardship, disappointment and lost important relationships during this period.
But through it all, I never lost hope.
I kept searching, continued learning, figuring out what I needed to do to:

Kenya’s economic situation doesn’t look like it will get better.
It’s likely going to get worse.
More than 30 manufacturing companies shut down this year, with another 118 predicted to possibly shut down in 2025.
Kenya’s only homegrown carmaker MOBIUS, shut down its operation in August 2024 after 13 years in the country.
To add to this, in July of 2024, Kenya's rating was downgraded in the international debt market,
to junk territory.
Meaning... our government bonds have a high risk of default incase of domestic or global economic shock.
This is why some local banks are having a serious liquidity problem and restricting withdrawals for members.
As we speak, 24 local banks might collapse if certain proposed business laws are effected within the next 3 years.
